IRC link points to mw:IRC, this is the page at mediawiki.org for their IRC channel. Is this what we want? Our IRC information is right there, so maybe this doesn't need to be a link at all... maybe a link to mibbit?--Koanhead (talk) 20:59, 20 April 2014 (PDT)

Note to page editors/coordinators on new organization of wiki... some of the bulleted items under each heading on this page may be redundant with the main pages for each "department", which you can get to by clicking the headings. List items on the front page that you want general visitors to our page to see immediately. The listed items may have more details on your department page, and links to their particular pages both here and there.
Would like to have separate responsibilities clearly delineated and organized. Would also like to see every single page on the wiki accessible through a tree structure that's as shallow as possible, with this front page being the root. No orphan pages that aren't linked from anywhere, or separate pages for things that would be best just listed on one longer page with other like topics.
cleanup & restructuring
There are now no uncategorized pages, except this one. Lots of text has been moved to the relevant top-level category page; thus have many pages been superseded and deleted. I have changed a bunch of links here to reflect this. AFAICT no information has been lost.
