tl;dr Free Geek Seattle has been "rebooted!"

As of August 2025 we are in the process of "rebooting", after a hiatus of 8 years. This entailed

  • Re-registered the domain name freegeekseattle.org
  • Restored website & wiki (you're looking at it) from backups
  • Posted update to the mailing list
  • Establish myTurn.com site with initial inventory of ~10 items
  • Setup VPS server (fargo) with Nginx and Postfix

2026-04-05

  • Added new (donated) items to Inventory
    • (2) Desktop computers
    • USB Cassette deck
    • Xbox One
    • keyboards, mice and LCD monitor

Meetings

No meetings are currently planned. Join the mailing list and organize a meet up if you are so inclined!

Past meetings and other events may be found on the Event Schedule

We used to meet on the second Monday of each month at Third Place Commons.

Prior to that we met at various Seattle public libraries (Greenwood and Broadview mostly).
